Synchronous Learning

We provide Zoom instruction for a specific speech or debate event (listed below) for free! Students will be grouped together and instructed by our skilled volunteers.

Our teaching methods begin with an acquisition of knowledge through lectures. We then have students apply their skills and practice debating each other or speaking, with feedback from our volunteers.

Live Events Offered

We currently offer three types of speech and debate events for live instruction (descriptions below). All other events are taught asynchronously and can be found here.

Parliamentary Debate

Parli is an advanced, limited-prep debate event focusing on argumentation and and critical thinking about real-world events.

SPAR

Spontaneous argumentation is a very fun, rapid, and limited-preparation event in which two speakers debate a simple topic.

Impromptu Speaking

Great for beginners, impromptu features a five-minute speech prepared in two minutes on an open-ended prompt.
